Nootropics are ingredients that support cognitive performance - things like memory, focus, mental clarity, and processing speed. Some nootropics work acutely (you feel the effect within an hour), while others build benefit over time with consistent daily use. L-Theanine is a nootropic - it promotes calm, focused alertness by increasing alpha brain wave activity. At CAAFFE, every adaptogen and nootropic we use is included at a dose that reflects what the research actually supports - not a token amount added for label appeal. You'll always find the exact amount listed on every bottle and here on our website.

Yes! CAAFFE tastes just as great warmed up and can be enjoyed at any safe and reasonable temperature. If you prefer it hot simply pour it into a microwave safe mug and warm it up. Don't over heat it though as high heat will alter the taste of many of the ingredients. (Of course, just a friendly reminder that CAAFFE should always be stored in the refrigerator.)

Yes! CAAFFE is crafted to be a daily part of your wellness routine. Like anything in life, balance is important, so we recommend 1-2 servings per day for healthy adults.

Yes! THRIVE is made with decaf cold brew coffee.

We are passionate about working with as many local purveyors as possible. Given that coffee is the primary ingredient in CAAFFE its the one we call out in detail on each bottle as it most defines the flavor profile. Our beans come from a few different regional New England roasters who each bring their own artisanal approach to the table. We work closely with them to select the beans and roasts that work best for CAAFFE cold brew beverages. It's been really fun to experience how different beans bring nuance to the taste!

We hand-craft all our products in small batches right here in Massachusetts!

As a small-batch producer, our environmental footprint is minimal by design, but we think about it carefully regardless. Our cold brew process generates spent coffee grounds as our primary byproduct, which we divert entirely from entering a landfill through participation in municipal composting.

We source our coffee from local Massachusetts roasters who prioritize responsible and fair-trade sourcing practices, which reduces supply chain miles and supports agricultural stewardship upstream. Our packaging decisions are made with sustainability in mind alongside function and shelf life.

We are a small business and we won't overclaim - but building with a light footprint and a clear environmental conscience is something we've prioritized from day one, and it will continue to inform every operational decision we make as we grow.

Birds are incredible creatures because they combine grace, intelligence, and adaptability. They are able to FLY across continents, FOCUS on navigating vast distances, and THRIVE in environments from cities to remote wilderness. Over time, we humans have looked to their unique traits and behaviors as inspiration, turning different birds into powerful symbols that reflect how we understand the world and ourselves.

We use marine collagen peptides (vs the more commonly sourced bovine collagen) because we are based here in Massachusetts and Cod is a readily available wild fish in the Atlantic. Keeping with our love for local, this amazing source of collagen provides a clean, highly bioavailable source of protein that blends seamlessly into coffee - without altering taste or texture.

Unlike traditional protein sources, collagen is specifically rich in amino acids that support the body’s natural structure. They are broken down into smaller chains of amino acids for easy digestion and absorption, making it a great fit for a daily coffee beverage.

NOTE: collagen is a form of protein, but it is not considered a "complete protein" as it does not contain all essential amino acids. Instead, it's best thought of as a functional protein—one that supports specific areas of the body (connective tissue, joints, hair, skin, nails) rather than muscle building.

CAAFFE was born from my own wants. I'm an active person who is intentional about the food and drink I consume. I just wasn't happy with the alternatives in the beverage space. I wanted great coffee that also provided real functional benefits. And I didn't want any nonsense ingredients. It shouldn't have been hard to find what I wanted but I couldn't, so I created what I was seeking and am proud to be offering it to you!

The recipes for FLY, FOCUS, and THRIVE are based on years of experimenting with dozens of ingredients in hundreds of combinations. I consulted with expert coffee roasters, baristas, dietitians, nutritionists, and even Phd chemists and biologists. My family, friends, and neighbors served the critical role of "product testers" while I worked to get it right. I am incredibly grateful for their support and honest feedback through some "sus" versions in the early days!

Today, we are proud of our assortment of delicious coffee beverages. They fuel our bodies and minds whether we are out mountain biking or hard at work. They provide nourishment and help us live happier and healthier lives. After all, isn't that the whole point? :)

You won't hurt our feelings if you don't like CAAFFE. We all taste foods slightly differently and have our own unique palettes. That said, if you don't like our beverages and want to return them then please reach out to us if you purchased online or direct from us at an event. If you purchased from a store or other third party seller then please return the item to where you bought it. They should take care of you, if they don't, please let us know!
